This area is dedicated to cultivating a space for contemplation, meditation and prayer for our Kanaloa, our beloved ocean ʻohana (family) and for the restoration of the abundance of the sea.

Today, we’re featuring the Manō who are suffering and being challenged by IUU (illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing) which is considered one of the greatest threats to the survival of our oceans. Over 90% of our pelagic Manō have been reduced due to overfishing, finning, and bycatch. But it doesn’t have to be that way.

E Luʻu Mai, Dive in with us and take 10 minutes out of your day to enjoy the beauty and majesty of the Manō. Images taken by Kaikea Nakachi.

Ola I Ke Au A Kanaloa! Life to the Realms of the Sea!
